Wow, I'm getting really bad about updating.
Lots of stuff going on since my last post:
1. The house is going pretty well. Got some rooms painted (still a few more to go), the yard is getting into shape, although I got tons of weeds to pull still, but I'm happy overall with the progress. This is a big house--800 square feet bigger than our last one. You can get lost in here if you aren't careful.
2. Took a small diversional trip to Myrtle Beach. We stayed at the Mariott Ocean Club--we have a couple of timeshares with them, and swapped one we have in Panama City for this one so we could see what it's like--plus it's only like 80 miles from me, which is the closest I've ever lived to the coast before. I was impressed--it wasn't nearly as overgrown or over-touristy as I thought it would be. There are still a lot of relatively isolated beaches, and plenty to do even if you're not a beach bunny. We'll definitely be back.
Here's a picture from our balcony
3. The traveling doesn't end there. We're off to DC for three nights tomorrow as well. We're catching a couple of Nationals games and will do the usual sightseeing. I still haven't planned an itinerary yet, but I'll figure something out
4. I'm an uncle! My brother and his wife had their first child on the 31st--Chayse Erin. 7 pounds 8 ounces.
