I'm still here...honest. Sorry about not updating in a while.
I've been working harder this week than, I swear, I have ever worked in my life. For those of you not keeping up on things, we're in the process of moving into a new house. I've forgotten how hard this is.
The first thing I did, last Monday and Tuesday, was paint the master bedroom and guest bedroom. I did it full-force too--taping every surface in the process, including the ceiling. Needless to say, after all that painting and taping, my hamstrings were killing me. I didn't realize they were used that much in this process.
Then on Wednesday, the wife and the furniture arrived--the furniture at 10am, the wife at 7pm. So I had the pleasure of guiding the movers with their various and sundry boxes to room after room. The trick was, however, that I didn't pack this stuff, and had no clue where a lot of it went. So I just pointed in random directions and crossed my fingers that I got it right.
Anway, for the last two days we've been unpacking and trying to create some sense of order in the new place.
As a side note, the cats haven't taken the move well so far. They don't travel well at all (the smaller cat pees herself everytime she gets in a car) and so my wife had them drugged for the 8-hour trip. They were groggy for about 36 hours or so, but seem to be recovering and are finally getting their bearings.
I'll post some pictures soon.
