I've been feeling, well, old lately.

Is there some age where it's not cool to do the things you do and say the things you say? At what point to you turn into your parents, who are ALWAYS old at any age?

Gee whiz, I'm 35 years old (almost 36) and still into things that twenty-somethings and teenagers do and like. Is it that I...

Whippersnappers?!

Nice picture btw.
nyssa:
That picture rocks!!!

Usuallly my family is pretty good about keeping birthday and Christmas seperate. Although sometimes some people will send me one each - where they send everyone else two each.. As long as they are separate, it's okay with me.

I'd say - stay a kid inside. You'll be much happier that way. It drives me NUTS when people over 30 start buying walkers and hanging out at senior's bingo. Please! Old is a state of mind...

Whew. I'm with kitschy. This semester can't end soon enough. Not that it was a whole lot of suck or anything. I just get really drained by the end of the semester, and am looking forward to the four-week holiday to catch my breath and recharge my batteries. Plus to get out of Dodge for a spell.

Of course, during vacation, there is always...

Thakns for introducing me to the Cabo Wabo. Now when I go to Tex-Mex resturants I can impress people with my Tequila knowledge.
mat8drb:
Everyone's stealing the survey, it makes me feel like a trendsetter, except that I stole it off someone whose name I can't remember.

Really? Alanis' cover of Crazy? Really?. shocked I thought it was a bit scary.

Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!

Pravon and I spent a teriffic Thanksgiving with SouthernBelle and SteveNeurotic. This, IIRC, is only the second Thanksgiving since we've been together that wasn't spent with one of the set of parents. It was nice to be able to say bad words, talk about controversial subjects, and converse with openly-gay people without wondering what the ramifications would be! wink

Plus we...

Looks like I missed a fun time.

Yeah it snowed up this way last Tuesday, but it didn't really stick.
pavlovsdog:
Asheville just got some flurries, and a light dusting in some parts. The higher mountains got a little more, but only a couple of inches.
It was mostly gone by mid morning the next day.

While I know this isn't a big deal for virtually all of you, for myself and the few die hard Vanderbilt fans that still exist, it's damn-near orgasmic.

The Curse is Lifted!

No, we're not going to a bowl game like a lot of folks predicted we would, particularly after our 4-0 start, but we beat Tennessee for the first time since 1982 yesterday. 1982!...

Ugh this has been tough week. I don't know if it's the end-or-the-semester blahs, the change in the weather (assuming it lasts), or maybe me coming down with something. Maybe my biorythms are off.

But for the entire week I've been lethargic and have had no desire to work. Fortunately for me, I've been ahead at work, so I'm not falling behind. But that will...

Yeah I've had the blahs this week too. I think it S.A.D.

Good Night and Good Luck was really impressive. I guess this movie going experience was better than your last one.

What a long week. I've been fading in and out of sleep for most of the morning and afternoon. But that's OK. This is the first weekend in quite a while where I actually have no out-of-town plans. So I'm gonna sit around, be a lazy sap, and maybe order a pizza smile

I'll add more as the day goes on.

At last the midterm tests are graded, and my brain and red pen are no worse for the wear. The kids did a little better this time overall, although there still were a considerable amount of sub-par grades.

While that is to be expected, what surprises me still is the amount of student apathy I see at this university. Students will take their D's and/or...

I think students will settle for a D when it's not a class in their field of study.

It would have probably been a good idea for me to wait before going to college. I just thought it was something I should do, but I really had no what I wanted to do.

I don't know if your into punk music but Lipstick Traces is pretty good.

Fun Halloween party at kitschy's and Idjiit's place last night. They were teriffic hosts and real troopers for allowing so many people into their home. Sorry about breaking that glass....that was when I was still sober...honest.

I made a lot of new friends and got to see a lot of not-quite-as new friends. Hopefully my friends list will expand a bit this week....

Most US adverts are similar, but by far my favourite adverts over there are by far the medical ones. They always crack me up. We have nothing like them at all. Sex does sell pretty much everything, including a very tounge in cheek campaign for washing powder here.

Have you been following the Hearts stories in the Scottish Premier League? This is getting a bit strange now.

oh BABE...

sorry about the icky tummy...

I had a blast with you, as always!
