Tonight's show was beyond amazing -- the cello is fucking beautiful.
Bonfire Madigan, a three piece set (led by Madigan Shive) was better than I expected. She is adorable onstage and has such personality, passion, and deliverence -- and as a group they especially have great music. I think everyone there fell in love with Madigan.
Rasputina will forever be a memorable show. Songs I know for sure they played:
- Hunter's Kiss
- My Orphanage
- The Remnants Of Percy Bass
- Rats
- The New Zero (I heart this song to pieces)
- Signs Of The Zodiac
- Howard Hughes
- Rusty The Skate Maker (so beautiful)
- Wish You Were Here (a real treat)
- Bad Moon Rising (last song)
- Cow Song (as best I can describe it)
Melora Creager + Zoe Keating + Jonathon TeBeest made Rasputina, at least this time 'round. Not only is Ms. Creager a musical genius with a gorgeous voice but hilarious as well. "I snort salt like Stevie Nicks snorts cocain through a straw in her ass done by a roadie. I don't get high -- but Ryan has somethin' to do!" That's just one of the knee-slapping introductions to a song we received tonight. Kind of disappointed Sweet Water Kill wasn't played but The New Zero, Rusty The Skatemaker, and Wish You Were Here were, so all is good and dandy. I should've brought my camera. Damn.
There were annoying assholes all around. Tall people cutting right in front of us, a large person smelling like a sack of onions, a stupid cunt with her boyfriend, and a dorkass with a Bill Gates hairstyle, vertically striped shirt, and get this, EARPLUGS in. I wanted to remove the ankles of these offensive people with the remains of a broken glass someone dropped nearby. Or, break some face. Be a little considerate people and I won't have to get violent.
I bought five CDs:
1. Belle + Sebastian - Dear Catastrophe Waitress
2. The Aisler's Set - Terrible Things Happen
3. Milla - The Divine Comedy
4. Bonfire Madigan - 88
5. Zoe Keating - One Cello x 16 EP

An unfortunate truth. You will be missed, Elliott.

Some people don't deserve ears.
What, no riddle today? Are people still working on the previous one. It's really not rocket science. C'mon people, use that space between your ears you call a brain.
Take care,
