What a weekend! Seriously, I haven't had a good couple days in a LONG while. So, without further hesitation:
Saturday: was a long night of work. LEMONS broke me down. Can you believe that? Well, you better.
Sunday: I was so lazy and slept in. It felt fantabulous. A couple friends made the journey out here to wish me a happy birthday and present a card + framed poem written for my sister. Later that evening I went into town for a show: Sultana Drive, band-who's-name-I-forgot, and Kind Of Like Spitting. The entire show was fucking amazing. KOLS: Ben and his cohort bandmate played acoustic, no PA at all, and three feet in front of us. He even did a cover of The Postal Service's "Such Great Heights". It was honestly one of the best shows I've seen. I walked out awe-struck with two CDs in my paw.
Monday: the big 2-0. Thank you again to everyone who wished me a happy birthday The theme is "no charge." I had an eventful day to say the least. Shipped off almostfamous' package (population 314 and the woman working in the post office had the same birthday as me -- weird), went to the bank, visited my dad, and met my friend C for some dinner. We ended up washing my car (pure filth) before we hit Maria's Enchiladas. Hoofin' it over there, we discussed our future plans to move to Portland. If that's a bust, we're heading to San Francisco. Food was excellent and was no charge for thee birfday girl. I wanted ice cream down the street. Cheesecake + brownie = yummy. No charge. C had free movie passes. We opted for School Of Rock. We got in no charge without using the free tickets. Ten minutes into the movie I was tempted to tear my ears off and claw my eyes out. Oh, the torture of Jack Black.
I didn't let my mind wander into the dark corners where sadness is always calling my name. I'm still not sure if these somber clouds have passed but I know I made it though the week. Tonight I looked up at the sky and imagined you a star in all your shining beauty. I imagined you a soft wind dancing in the trees and tickling my skin in the fading heat. I miss you, always.

Riddle me this:
Glittering points
That downward thrust,
Sparkling spears
That never rust.
