Time for some fresh Maddog ramblings!

I am in this weird lucid state right now. My best explanation is that my body is yearning to trip. I am not fuckered up enough to believe someone might have slipped me something, not to mention I live alone. I dreamt of finding some obscure fun I had been yearning for, and my brain has carried that with me out of my pleasant nap state. If I had to compare it to anything, it's a pleasant minimal twinge of

Isn't it pretty
I'm adding some carriage returns, cause apparently, in the journal preview, the spoiler needs an accompanying spoiler tag... I'd hate for you to be spoiled without wanting it.
YARR
I've entered them like three whole times. I guess I need some more ramblings to not spoil the spoilers. YARR

I pay attention to sports more than most of my friends, part of it is my competitive nature, part is that they kept me from being beaten up as a kid (and now I guess, although I'm much bigger now), and part b/c it allows me to make smalltalk with guys that I would otherwise have nothing to say to. I'm sure there are more parts, too. Anyhow, one sport I cannot relate to is baseball. So.... goddamn.... sloooow. Slow in person, slow on tv. SLOW. Plus, you need so many people to play, not really a version of 2 on 2 or anything you can come up with in a pinch. Also, the owners don't care to make it competitive. St Louis and KC are not far apart. One spends the $$ to make their team competitive (a rarity), the other bitches about being a small market (like most), even though both owners are billionaires.

I recently picked up
the complete 5th season of the Simpsons. I had previously become desensitized to the fact that syndicated versions of tv shows have little bits cut out so they can show an extra 2 minutes of commercials. Usually, this just comes out of the Simpsons into, but every few episodes I catch a new joke. Makes me happy and angry at the same time. I am enough of a fanatic that some friends and I took second place at a Simpsons trivia contest that netted (the 5 of) us $250 in gift certificates and $250 in cash. However, last year only half the team made it (without the previous preparation or enthusiasm) and (to no surprise) did not succesfully defend our runner up. The contest is coming up in May/June, which is rapidly approaching.
I think I'm going to keep my ramblings like that in the future... keeps things concise if you're not interested in any of my rambling subjects.
Ramble on, dude.
