I've been a bit MIA as of late, holiday time kind of thrusts that upon me. It gets a bit redundant explaining how much I dislike christmas music, I'm not a consumer, I'm not a christian, how do you know the Chinese don't have a correct calendar, bla bla bla. Plus, New Calendar Eve was one to forget. Another Sunday in my book, but with good music playing and a day off to boot. Unfortunately, the music was far from good, and there was only one or two people I talked to that shared my sentiment, as many of my other friends were just out to party.
Denver has been in the news a bit recently. Just because we get a snowstorm every 4 years or so that dumps two feet on us, odds are our weather is better than yours. Dry cold and dry heat can't be beat. Then, just as things were returning to normal, another supposed storm was ready to attack again, so things closed like we were expecting another 2 feet, not another 6 inches. Having a new jeep just changed my frustration from me not being able to get to places to me being the only one efforting to get to them.
I think what really needs to be noticed here is that it fell on the solstice. I was told this is a sign of change during one of the better conversations I had at the aforementioned sunday night party. On a positive note, listening to that stooge poorly mix mostly weak records has inspired me to be more involved in making my own music. It felt like work so I've set it aside quite a bit, but creating is making me happy rather than frustrated these days; I expect this to delight a number of my friends. Plus, I don't want to be talked about as a wasted talent, as I know people who are more talented than I am that have more or less quit on it.
Along with the snow we have the added bonus of having a football player killed senselessly early on 1/1. Yet another bit of evidence that confirms I really don't understand what the fuck goes through most people's heads.
