There is no hope for me.
I recently met a new girl. After haning out a couple of times, my friend/coworkers wife thought she would be perfect for me. I went to see her, as she's a masseuse. If that were our first date, I would have said we really clicked. However, I gave her a hundee at the end of the session, not quite the same thing.
Anyhow, I later ask her out to lunch. Things go well. About a week later, we go out on the town. Things go better. She calls me the next day to tell me she's been smiling all day and wants to cook me dinner at her house on Saturday (which is the following night). Things go even better again.... its the best meal anyone's ever cooked for me, and we continue to hit it off, and kiss for the first time.
I call her the next day, thanking her for a wonderful evening, to let her know I've been smiling as well. We laugh, I'm now fully twitterpated.
She calls me after work, and we go out to dinner and kick it and watch a chill Sunday night movie.
Then all of a sudden, things somehow fall apart. We had a quick im chat while I was at work the next day, but she bolted off w/o saying goodbye. She's not really much of an internet person, so I didn't think much of it. Its now tuesday/yesterday, and I call her around noon, and it goes straight to voice mail.
She doesn't call back.
I called her tonight, as our plans for the weekend have changed. This time it rings and goes to voicemail.

she was online briefly, which means she's home, but I didn't say anything.
i.can't.win.
Since thursday I've been telling my friends how awesome this one is, how lucky I feel, and what a great connection we have from the start.
