Woke up this morning and went to have breakfast with my dad. On the way over there the check engine light came on again on my bike. My dad had the idea that it might be low on oil, the oil pressure light hasnt come on but its possible, so I take off the the oil cap/dipstick and it had oil, went to put it back on and it would go... tried turning it and it was like there were no thread, I look at it and a quarter inch of the threads were stripped!!!! So there I was outside the restaurant with my cold steel ti-light knife trying to fix the threads because I couldnt limp the bike home without a cap, I would blow the engine for sure. After about ten minutes I finally was able to get the cap on.
Rode around the whole day and went to see some family out in Mo-val. The Laughlan ride is going to be on the 20th, I cant wait, its going to be the longest ride Ive ever been on.
Got home and passed out, woke up to the sound of an email and that very sweet girl Ive been talking to got home. It was nice exchanging e-mails again. Shortly after I rode up to my buddies girlfriends house to show them the bike. He already saw it but he wanted his girl to see it. I think we are finally working her in on letting him get a bike especially since she was drooling over it
Riding makes me hella tired, I think its the wind in my eyes that does that. Im fit to pass out again. Tomorrow I have to call my insurance company (shudder), go get a haircut, and I think Im going to get new glasses. The ones Im wearing right now are falling apart and I need to renew my contacts but those are a little more expensive and less convenient. Im thinking the big black plastic framed nerdy glasses I used to have when I was a little kid. You know, the voodoo glow-skull / Gear head / Buddy Holly type glasses. First things first, I have to ride over to the dealership and inquire about my bike. I think the check engine light was because of the cap. It not sealing properly, the light only came on at a stop, it might of been losing just enough compression at a stop that the bikes OBD system read the loss and kicked the idiot light on. We'll see.
Talk to you later all!
