Applied math. It's a bit embarrassing - I feel like an imposter b/c ever since I finished school (environmental engineering) and started work I hardly ever do math anymore! I'm getting interested in geochemical and hydrogeological modelling, so maybe one day my life will be math-filled once more.
The vigilante group appealed to me b/c of all the 'geek' humour. To be honest I'm a bit intimidated by the other math group.
So did you lose your voice while living up to your resolution to be more sociable?
Yeah, yoga's funny that way b/c some classes I think "that wasn't real excersise - it was more like taking a nap!" and then the next day I think "No... that was real excersise alright".
I do contaminated Sites work (delineation, remediation). Lately I've been focusing on the environmental due diligence side of things (compliance auditing etc.) more than the "playing in dirt" side of things. If I ever go back to do grad school I will probably try to get more involved in geochem/hydrogeology, some of the projects I've been hearing about at the seminars I've attended sound really cool.
Tell me about your work/studies. Have you given your lecture yet?
