I am alive!
And this time it did not involve an old castle in eastern Europe, a hunchback and lots of lightning, no! Just a lot of sleep and puffers back home with my family in Moncton.
It turns out if you neglect your body for five weeks without leaving a desk and living off of coffee you get sick... real sick, like pneumonia sick. I gotta say though, those puffers gave me a buzz I am going to miss them. However I have found better medicine now that I can drink again, my good old friend Jack Daniels. I am totally going to wake up in a ditch.
I have been a very busy sick man lately: I switched out of Cryptography and tried to get a supervisor for Differential geometry, sadly my friend Matt took the good one Dr. Smirnov and so I have had to improvise... I am working with a guy named Dr. Coley and he is pretty big (I guess) in General Relativity and Cosmology (A lot of Differential Geometry there), so now I am doing my Masters in Differential geometry and General Relativity with him. When I say that, I get wood; I have wanted to learn G.R. since I was four and I first heard of Einstein from "Dancing Wu Li masters". I guess I am living my dream?
I was really worried about switching to him though, he is the black sheep in the department; because of his sense of humour and being a total tightass with money the department has come to hate Dr. Coley... including my previous supervisor/Grad Supervisor Dr. Johnson. So trying to get him to approve Dr. Coley as my supervisor has been a battle. However it is worth it, I am going to be working on a project that will help with M-theory, commonly known as String theory (this is hot) and better yet I will have a few papers published with my name on it, something I could never do in Pure Math.
Applied math is where the chicks are... no I lied. I have not been laid for a year now (plus or minus a month), I am not sure which is stranger, that I keep track of that or that it does not bother me at all? I blame the math.

!!!I think that's great!!! I think you're the smartest person I know of. I hope all goes well with M-theory, and the chicks
