Well, it has already happened in Newfoundland...Happy New Year...I'm practicing. By the time most of, or any of you read this it will be history.
I no longer dread a new year...it's not just a chance to make the same mistakes again, it's a chance to go a different way..a new path take a new heading or just sit calmly and let the rest of the world repeat the same mistakes...Since I've never been one to sit still, I will take a different heading...
I can't be sure that this is better than a new path BUT, a heading is not set in stone, so to speak. It can be changed again and again as the prevailing winds challenge you...BUT it can always be corrected over time and distance. A path is just that...a rut set down by those who came before...and who needs that, no matter how new it is to you.
A heading is always your own and therefore your own salvation or your own destruction. But at least I was not sitting still in the fast lane. Happy New Year to us all.
Oh, the cat is awake..I can hear trying to open the cabinet doors.

Pangur Ban was written by a scribe of the monastery of Carinthia in Austria on a copy of St. Paul's Epistles. Apparently, he thought no-one would be reading St. Paul and was a doodler with an inspiring cat . And to further my dorkiness...Ban means 'white' in Old Irish and Pangur was a common cat name.
