well, the experiment seems like it may have been successful. She wasn't even slightly put off by offering my email or the suggestion of coffee sometime. I'm to expect to hear from her later tonight, so I guess I'll see how well it went before too long.
I suppose another update is in order.
In any event, that was exciting! my heart was beating a... Read More
Haha, I can't believe I haven't seen it before now. It has to be up there as one of the funniest films i've ever seen. The tiger is hilarious. When he's trying to give him the steak and he screams like a girl when it nearly has his hand off haha.
There's a girl who works at a local grocery store that I've had an attraction to for quite some time. I've since moved further away from said grocery store and as a result, haven't seen her and had our brief weekly movie discussion in quite a while. So I'm going to take the 35 minute walk down there later... Read More
I have already honed my positive thinking skills to keep me in a good mood despite 8 hours of a terrible day at work. Rather than concentrate on how shitty of a day I'm having, I just remind myself that it won't be for long, and I'll soon be working somewhere better, making more money, and feeling like I get what I deserve.
Worst lie I've ever told would probably have to be the time I called into my co-op placement and told them my grandmother had been diagnosed with cancer. It wasn't technically a lie, as she had, but several years earlier and had completely recovered. Still, when I finally went back to work, everyone was giving their condolences, and I felt terrible as I tried to act like I was bothered, when really, my grandmother was perfectly healthy. I'm so glad I never lie anymore. Lying sucks.
I can honestly say I have never done anything mean to anyone intentionally. It's one of my highest points of pride. Of course people have gotten hurt by me over the years but every one of them as an unintentional result of actions I've taken. I've said some pretty mean things though. Probably the worst of which was "You're the worst person I've ever met, the worst person I'd ever expect to meet and the worst thing that has ever happened in my life. If I had never met you, If you didn't exist, the world would genuinely be a better place". It was said to an ex, and without a VERY long explanation, really sounds harsh. Just trust me that it wasn't said in haste, and to be honest, I still agree with every word of it.
I'm making a conscious effort to think more positively these days. It was VERY hard on the walk to work this morning as I saw the remains of a poor kitty in very rough shape on the road. It took every ounce of my effort to keep positive thoughts in my head there, and it's coming back now.
I suppose I should get out of my house and try to meet girls if I intend to find another "friend with benefits", for a lack of a better term, but even in the event that I do get off this couch, I've been out of the game for 3 and a half years. I wouldn't know where to start and... Read More
This day every year the internet is flooded with touching words expressing the terrible loss of life that occurred several years ago. Every year I'm saddened reading them, not only due to the tragic ways in which they died, but also in almost everyone's ability to ignore the real reason. Please ignore the controversy of my opinions for one day, and spend at least a... Read More
It's becoming more and more clear that I need more women to talk about sex with. Single life is a sexually frustrating time, but porn is impersonal and only serves to fulfill empty release. Discussion with an actual person has a much more effective impact on eliminating sexual frustration. It's the next best thing to actually having someone there.
