After months of searching for better paying work, I've finally been offered a job from a friend of mine. It pays almost 3 times as much as I make now per hour, with more hours than I've been getting now and great potential of overtime. A HUGE financial step forward.

So that's the problem?

It's over 3,000 kilometers away, and the job is working on...

I am! Only problem is I have no qualifications. Which undoubtedly I need to even apply anywhere. So I'd need to sort all that out first, which could take a year at least just for that alone and I'm too late to start that this year unless there's anything at the beginning of next, otherwise it's september again! haha. Oh why can't things be simple?
bigttrack:
Let us know if you're moving forward with this opportunity. I can tell you FROM EXPERIENCE IN THIS FIELD, it will only open doors to bigger things.

Learn all you can about this rig and its operation. About the company you are working for. The drilling business is in the upswing of a massive boom. You can end up many different places in the world, and the dril companies are always on the lookout for people who can think. These people get promoted quickly.

Go for it, bud. Never look back.

I got a call from "Tysiak R" in Etobicoke, Ontario.

I don't know anyone by that name, or anyone from Etobicoke for that matter, other than Martini.

I'm terrified of the phone, or I'd call them back to see who it was. I'm sure it was a wrong number, but you never know.

Why does the phone freak me out so much? haha

So, interesting news today.

I've been working at the same shite dollar store for over 4 years and anyone who's been following my blogs would know that I've been actively searching for new employment. In my first year there, I became a supervisor and all was good in the world.

However, the following 3 years and some has been a non-stop shit show with a...
