got a job my 5th day in town. Nothing special, working for Fido selling cell phones. While doing that, I did a course to get my safety ticket to work in the oil patch. After only few days of resume faxing following that course, I got a job working for Guardian Oil as a general labourer helping out pipe inspectors. Not a bad gig, 17 an hour, but that's 6 bucks more per hour than I've ever made in my life. And that's only after 3 weeks. As I collect tickets and keep climbing the ladder of my driver's license, that number is gonna keep climbing. Pretty much thrilled at this point.
