In these coming weeks, I decide to write blogs about things (objects) that I really like.
My first blog of 5, my TOP 5 objects, will be my helmets. ❤️🔥
I have 3 years of riding, arriving in my 30s, yes I am 30 years old. I got my motorcycle license at 18, but only at 27 did I have the opportunity to start motorcycling, one of the things I love most in my life, for everything I learned, lived and learned.
I'm still chasing my dream of having my long-awaited Harley CB 1200 xl sportster so I can customize it. You know how much I love changing things and giving my meaning.
Come on?
Well in these three years I've had many helmets, I sold some and currently I have 9 helmets, I'll start with the first one I bought, even before I had my bike, because it was my daily incentive to get my first bike.
1. Old School • Easy Rider. This was my first helmet I bought, at first it was white with caramel lining I used it like that for almost two years. As some of you here know, I participated in the Harley Challenge Brazil, it was really cool to be able to participate, but they tricked me in the end, giving the prize to the second place, since he had a harley and I didn't, (which I don't understand, because the challenge was open, for all brands, all automakers), anyway… In the last challenge I decided to cosplay Peter Fonda Easy Rider, that's when my first helmet, which was white, won this painting! Which means a lot to me, I love this movie and the vision it brings to Liberty!
2. Street Tattoo This helmet is painted by an artist friend that I admire a lot, it brings drawings that I chose, and they symbolize some songs that I love. (Heart Wild • Belchior, Wild Horse • Rolling Stones, Born Free • Kid Rock) the serpent means metamorphosis, transformation, according to oriental culture “a woman who assumes a man's position in society because she is strong.” I love this helmet.
3. Bell Helmet This is a limited edition only 13 were made, mine is number 5, I love the numerology of the number 5 and its meaning. It has oriental designs and the phrase “Speed Soul” was my second helmet.
4. Metal Flake • Low Rider This is from an artist who always wanted to have an “artwork”, it is made of flake and I love all the details of it, the varnish looks like a mirror.
5. Hard Headed Woman this is one of my favorites, this one I had the opportunity to help design, sand and be part of the whole process. It has this phrase “Hard Headed Woman, I love this Cat Stevens song” It has the words “FTW (Fuck the World and Forever Two Wheel's), Long Live, No Rules and PMA (Positive mental attitude) its frieze is leather, and the piede poule lining.
6. This little white boy is my warrior and the only helmet I have with a visor. 😂 It is plain white and has some stickers that are meaningful to me, soon I will make a new art on it, with the Alice in Wonderland Theme.
“Madness returns” I love this game.
7. You also know how much I love Beetle Juice, this one has his art in the way I thought of vans sneakers and on top of a “Flying Eye” written on the front “Out Law”. My new baby, I did several lives of the production process of this helmet here.
8. Cheetos, I also love this helmet and the snack especially 😂 I think the words on it speak for themselves ❤️🔥 I love the gold leaf teeth I made on it, and the camouflage lining, I love camouflage.
9. This old school full of tigers was a gift that I loved getting and having it with me forever.
In closing, there are still two models that are a dream, the Bullitt by Bell and a black Joe King with jaguar lining. I hope to be able to do these two this year.
And you who drive here at SG, like helmets and have that love too?
Let’s ride! Stay Safe! Xoxô, Maciel 🫀❤️🔥🛠
