I'm going to try and keep up with these things. Not really a whole lot going on with me. Had a lot of fun at that concert I talked about in my last post. I actually did like Ikonoklast this time. Though, the alcohol may have been a factor in that. I know I wouldn't have been able to stand Hanzel und Gretyl if it weren't for that. Nothing against them, just not my thing. I know it was a Wednesday night and all, but the crowd was surprisingly tame. There was still plenty of energy, but there wasn't any moshing. That's pretty unusual to happen when Ikonoklast is on stage. The Genitortures were good. I wish I were more familiar with their stuff. I didn't plan on being right up front, but still wound up there. I don't want to say I was shoved up there, more like placed. While I was pretty drunk, I don't think I was being obnoxious. I'm not complaining. One thing that kind of surprised me was that Gen stuck the mic in my face during the last song. This has happened to me before, but usually with bands I've seen nearly a half a dozen times or more.
I've been kind of keeping up with the guitar. I think I might be getting close to claiming I can actually play. I know I should start learning scales and chords, but I think I'll still stick to tabs for a while. Recently learned how to play the Buffy the Vampire Slayer theme. I've always liked how it sounded. I still suck at transitioning between chords, and learning this has kind of been step one in practicing that. I made a recording using my shitty PC mic and threw together a "video" of me playing it. I still kind of fucked up a few parts, but eh. At least I'm still trying.
There's the pick I've been using. It's definitely seen better days. I plan to wear it out some more and then probably do something lame like make a necklace out of it.
