This month, I have three big goals:
*Take care of myself (gym 5-7x a week)
*Finish writing my mixtape so that I can put it out before the 1st half of the year
*Write an average of a page a day for my novel
SO, this means I will probably limit my time on SG (chat mostly)...perhaps to an hour a day. Sucks, I know, but I'm ADDICTED to you guys...what can I say? ;-|
Yes, I am really a rapper

Upon request, here are lyrics from my upcoming mixtape "Passing the Bar":
10 Rap Commandments (To the beat of Biggie's 10 crack commandments)
Commandment #1: Don't do it for fun, because if you do, somebody is gonna make you run!
To break it down: You're not hungry, but you're entering a world where everybody else is
willing to eat a man, woman and girl, to be the best in the world at it.
You ain't prepared, might get your self-esteem shattered.
You treat it like a hobby, some people treat it like it's life or death
Plotting on your downfall in every breath.
#2 If you rap mostly about you, make sure that what you say you do is really true.
'You just painting a picture then there ain't no stress, but bear in mind, many of us have
been killed for less.
#3: in order to be a dope MC, you've gotta show the people that you're raw lyrically.
Anybody with hands can pull a gun out and blast, but a dope verse is something not
everybody can grasp.
4: Don't believe the hype; your own or anybody elses'.
They lace it with lies- put the truth in disguise.
5: Don't beef for publicity! That's not how it works!
If you have a chain, this is especially.
6: In order to get respect, you've got to give it.
You ain't paid your dues, you become old news.
#7: And this is one I can't stress enough. It astounds me how many people mess this up-
Know your history! If you ain't ever heard of Kool Herc, Get off of the microphone and
get back to fuckin' work!
8: Being ill is a measurement of skill. Just because you got cream, doesn't mean that you real.
#9: It's wild because there's so much of it now, but the rule still stands- there's no biting allowed.
If you wanna tweak a line, that's fine, but you take somebody's style and you're fucking up
their grind.
#10: And last but not least- not everyone is meant to hop up on beats! If you wanna rap
But you sound like trash, then it's grind time: need to buckle down on your craft.
Then, if after that, you still sound wack, sorry kiddo, but this probably ain't your bag.
Go out into the world and find your own identity instead of who all these other rappers
pretend to be. 'Cause it's not you and it's not them either.
They're living like a skewed Scarface with amnesia. This shit'll break your heart, please
believe it. And tell you do the "Harlem Shake" until it looks like a fucking seizure.
