Side effects can include the ubiquitous nausea and diarrhea, sometimes erectile dysfunction and delayed ejaculation. Believe it or not, premature ejaculation is actually one of the indications for the SSRI class of drugs.

If you read the patient information, you'll notice it recommends against drinking! Can you imagine? Now *that's* something to be depressed about!

Are you getting some counseling as well as taking the medication? You should think of Fluoxetine like a pair of water wings: it'll keep you afloat, but you need to get comfortable in the water and learn to swim. Look for the things in your life that have you depressed and work for change.
