A RANT, A FESTIVAL, THREE FRIENDS AND A GODDESS
First, let me tell you about the language barrier. It sucks wanting to make a point and get short of words to say it. It sucks to miss the puns an internal jokes. It sucks having to be formal because you don't know "the language of the streets", so to speak.
People don't spend the time to get your point. If your message doesn't grab one's attention at first, the next comes in and you're gone to the limbo.
Result: half of your wit or sarcasm doesn't make way to the reader.
It's not that I've been alienated by someone in the middle of a conversation. This is just a rant. A preventive rant. Paranoia, anyone?

And now, for something completely different
This weekend I went to a music festival here at Rio de Janeiro. The line up was amazing, as long as you don't consider Good Charlotte at all and regard Mike Patton's Fantomas as scatology in the form of music.
The line up was:
The Flaming Lips
Sonic Youth
Iggy and The Stooges
Nine Inch Nails
!!!!!!!!! (not the band)
It should be a night to dream about, right? Well, the producers of this fucking festival couldn't care less.
The night before, the same line up made a gig in So Paulo, which is 450Km from here. So, some clever soul had the brilliant idea of bringing the same stage equipment to be used in the Rio de Janeiro gig. By truck!!! Stoopid!!!!
It could have rained, there could have been every sort of problems with the road, the equipment could even have been stolen in the way. But, no. The truck simply broke in the way.
Result: a 3-hour delay and, which is worse, the shows were brutally shortened.
For instance, the Sonic Youth show was supposed to last 1h20. It didn't. They were on stage for about 50 minutes. Fuck it! It was the 2nd time the band came to Rio -- which is absolutely rare, most foreign bands just come once, usually when they're outdated in their own countries. But no, they came back! And guess what happens?
Death to the fuckin producers!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, before the censorship lays it's heavy hand on me: this is not a life threat. It's just pure anger.

Last but not least, I'd like to give a warm welcome to my first three SG friends.
Chewbacca is a long-term offline buddy and is becoming a good friend. Good surprise, I intend to live up to it.
fzero is a multitalented dude. He excells in most things he does and has a great sense of humour -- or should I say, sarcasm?
Ambellina: I met her yesterday at soulseek and it turned out that she was friends with Cain, the lovely and rebel Cain. Ambellina and I had a nice talk and I hope to catch up with her soon.

Speaking of her, Cain's new set is up! Go get it!
