This update is brought to you courtesy of Box Car Coffee shop -or something like that. Nice little place. Always empty and of course, free WI-FI! Someday I'll have internet at home. Sigh.
In the meantime I'm pretty much restricted to paying my bills and answering important (ok, vaguely important) emails. I'm only on about once a week. A little strange because usually pretty compulsive about checking email and stuff.
My belongs finally showed up on Friday so I'm in the process of unpacking junk that seemed important 15 months ago. Or at least important enough to ship. The real question is, if I've managed to live without it this long, how damn important can any of it be?
Hope all is well in SGLand. I should be back on in a bit...

DSL installation is a bitch. It took them 3 weeks to get us an appointment for install and then a few weeks past that to actually get the connection running.
Your assessment of Vegas was pretty much spot on. I don't drink, gamble or pay to look at titties (oh, wait) so much of the allure has simply been in people watching and examining the architecture - which is beautiful but just translates to illuminated dollar signs that spell out 'funded by suckers.'
Check out the SGSac group - Halloween party is coming up and there are a lot of new faces showing up (albeit nearly unrecognizable in costuming, I'm sure) if you wanted to find out what we are all about without feeling like you're jumping in alone. Fair warning - if you come, bring your Twister shoes.
