Back in New Orleans. Sometimes good ideas turn out to be bad plans. Not sure why I thought it'd be fun to hang out in the Quarter. I rarely went when I lived here 'cept of course when I worked on Bourbon. It's not back to it's old self but it's getting there. I'm betting next summer will be a good summer for New Orleans. Even without any clear direction or leadership -heck despite it -I still believe the city has too much character and too much history to not bounce back. I don't know that I'll ever live there again (the humid kills me) but I want to know that the unique and one of a kind spectacle that is New orleans; the Quarter, Mardi Gras, the Jazz Festival, and everything else is still there and still true.
