The following is a letter written in the morning of today's date.
[prince charming],
have not heard from you (although my phone has been off the last few days) and figured I would initiate contact - as always. I thought your visit to New York had brought a shift in our relationship, I also thought I would hear from you sooner. I appreciated the text message you sent, I enjoyed seeing so much of you as well. I feel as I settle in here a little more my energy will relax and I will be more of myself than what you saw - the apartment is being remodeled as I type.
While you were here I felt a transition in work - I also knew I was not satisfied with my occupation any longer. Due to circumstances, I recently took a two week break from work at the DEN and am now a hired employee of Club 40/40 of New York City, one of the hot clubs owned in part by Jay-Z.

Started working there last wednesday and only trained for two days when I worked my first friday night and broke $1000 in sales. I am told that is a good thing in the room I was in, the Cigar Room. Ah, the smell is beautiful - and with the weather going as it is, may be all the smoke exposure I need at this point! Both Juan and Desiree like me in their way, the like how I do business. The GM who hired me during the cattle call interview last tuesday is impressed with how much I have picked up in the amount of time I have been there... and it is appreciated. I feel that warmth of Nichols a little again, and it is nice (to be appreciated). Things are going well and when the time is right I can make some nice commissions off the right people when they buy a bottle.. of whatever we may carry (you should check out the menu). Otherwise, it is paying the rent well and I am serving people for a living again. Consorting amongst the wealthy it seems, as always....
The biggest snowstorm since 1947 (I heard) hit me the night before. I walked into work with rain and walked out into 7 inches of snow and 10 degree weather. Bad night to wear a skirt. I am now awakened by the sound of struggling motorcars outside my Chelsea apartment, early in the morning and they are stuck in the piles of snow. Now I see what SUVs are for. The cold does not bother me too much although I have realized my waredrobe is lacking in thickness - as in enough of the RIGHT clothes. Perhaps I will email my sister to mail her winter gear from Hawaii, she does not need it there.
I woke up on three hours of sleep saturday morning to the floor being sanded in my living room. After a nice j I was able to sleep the five more hours I needed (damn sobriety) but the apartment remodel is worth it. The walls have been repainted, the kitchen and entire apartment cleaned, my room is bigger than any before really and it is a larger apartment than the one I grew up in through high school. Wood floors, a new bathroom in a week, and a beautiful kitchen (for a New York kitchen in Chelsea) to cook in again. Finally. Most of the furniture is gone or going to be replaced, my roomie is a pretty successful investment banker and, at 27, wants to finally have the bachelor pad he deserves. I am hooking him up with my plasma guy for a purchase. I also have brick fireplaces, one in my room. I love it, may have to stay awhile.
I also have a cat named Lynx. I wanted to name her Lennox (I am a dork, I wanted to have an animal named after an operating system - it is funny!) but I am going to loose that battle - she was Tre's gift for the new pad. It is the responsibility I wanted, perhaps I can get this one right. We shall see.
Besides a mattress needed, the clothes needing laundry service, and the life settling down, that is all I have to offer you. [the ex] has mentioned moving out here once - I will believe it when I see it - or see it when I believe it.... which brings me to you.
What are your plans since you left my view in the City?
write me soon, I miss you.
