Friday class ends early, got a test back with a 76% in parties and interest groups. That was the 2nd highest grade in the class (1st was a 78.)
The teacher, who is approximately my age, offered 15 points of extra credit through various projects, one of which involves being somewhere at 8:00am to hear our local US representative, Jeff Miller (R, FL,) speak.
The other is a 5 page paper on a local ballot initiative regarding changing the Escambia County Charter in a few significant ways. 5 pages for 10 points on a test which counts for less than 25% of the total grade. Thats one I'll have to consider.
Even the 76% ther is better than the 70% in Japanese. I get to retake that, and then average the two grades. So, I'll be able to hope for an 85%.
Generally, I don't put too much stress on grades, and this fact is proven by a number of casual observations about my academic carreer. However, now that I am pretty much being forced to graduate, I'm considering getting into grad school, and how it is going to be nearly impossible unless I can point at this semester and say 'see, i'm a good student now.'
So, I'll strive for my 85% in Japanese, and write 5 pages and get up a 7:00am for my 91% in Pol. Parties and do whatever other drudgery is necessary to postpone my entry into the real world constant employment.
But, for now, I'm going to get high, and go to the park and juggle or something of that sort.
