alright, i have found a work out routine that will bring me up to speed with where i want to be at for once i enter OCS and then go on to seal training.
it's a 9 week training program done on monday/wednesday/friday and each week it increases in speed and reps per set. the work out has no weight training in it... only natural body and resistance training (maximizing strength, agility, explosiveness)
i'll be amending the program with p90x intervals and some of my own speed training... mixing all of this with dieting, low/no supplements and no more beer (oh noez)
i'm starting the work out tonight with a 15 minute continuing swim in cold water to climatize the body and work on the swimming muscles... as water work outs are an intense part of the navy and the seal program..
ALSO, if anyone out there has yoga/pilates tips for stretching... being flexible is important to muscle response and will benefit training in the long run... i'll love you forever.
i'm off to walmart to buy some gear for training.
over and out,
