Well, I guess all the cool kids are doing it, so I might as well get this started.
My name is Mark. I was born just outside Saginaw, Michigan, and currently reside in Cheyenne, Wyoming. No, Wyoming is not a figment of your imagination, it actually does exist.
I just graduated from engineering school in December, and moved out into that scary place called the real world. With the economy being what it is, anywhere that would take me was in play, and I soon got the offer of a lifetime working for the Department of Veterans Affairs out in Cheyenne. It's been kind of a daunting experience beginning life on my own in a strange town. I have met some cool people and visited some cool places, and look forward to many more.
I've been a casual fan of SG for quite some time, and never got the chance to join until recently. I wasn't exactly the richest kid in college, sadly. Now that I'm living on my own and I have (some) money, I hopped on board.
I'm pretty much the quintessential nerd. You're dealing with a guy who brought a giant sign that said "pwn3d" to hockey games, and waved it around when his team scored. I do typical nerd things, like sit around on the Internet and play video games. When the insane Wyoming weather isn't actively trying to kill me, I try to go running and biking. As I mentioned, I'm also a rabid hockey fan, especially college. If you've never been to a college hockey game, go to one. Sit near or in the student section or near a pep band. It's one of the most underrated and most fun sporting events you'll ever attend. (My userpic is me in full pep band uniform. Yes, that's really how we dressed.)
If anyone in the Wyoming/Colorado area wants to chat/hang out/whatever, feel free to send me an IM at m00seonthel00se2 (same as my username, I know the 1337speak is a pain, just copy/paste it and you're fine.) You can also follow me on Twitter at m00seonthel00se - that's where most of my goings-on in life end up. I'd love to meet as many new people out here as I can!
tl;dr: Hi, I live in BFE, I'm a dork, I'm lonely, entertain me.
