Good Friday is here! I painted my eggs last night, and I also bought some amazing multicoloured eggs!
Traditionally we paint eggs boiled in vinegar with red paint and hold competitions to see whose egg is the champion egg.
We play tomorrow, and we hit our friends eggs with our own eggs from above and whoever's egg comes out unharmed is the winner!
A sneaky tip, if you want your egg to be stronger, put a whole cup of vinegar in and glaze your egg or paint it with two coats of paint!
For anyone that wants to play my silly traditional Greek Easter egg game, the things you'll need are:
INGREDIENTS
Uncooked Eggs
Water
3/4 cup Vinegar
Red food dye or coloring
Vegetable oil
A few cotton balls
METHOD
Carefully wash and dry each egg. Set a large pot of water to boil. Add a red dye or food coloring and 3/4 cup of vinegar to the water, and boil for a few minutes. Slowly lower the eggs into the pot, and when the water comes to a boil, lower the heat. Let eggs simmer for 15 min., then remove them carefully from the pot. If you plan to cook more eggs, add an additional 2 tbs. vinegar to the water. Wipe cooked eggs with an oil-soaked cotton ball, then wipe each egg with a clean dry cloth.
I'm so excited! Presents!!!!! I'm meant to be in mourning but shhhhhhhh
and a nice picture from Opale shot in Amsterdam
p.s Thank you Staff, members, Waikiki, Albertine, Franpire and the barman at Soundgarden for making my set live!!! Amazed!!!!!
