This time of year is the most depressing time of year to work in a vet clinic. It seriously seems like every other patient is either diagnosed with some form of cancer or is euthanized. Tonight was a crazy busy night at work and we did have some good stories, most were sad and I feel really bad for all those owners that get the terrible news. It sucks even more when you're like, "hey, we need a HUGE chunk of money, right after or before, you've bought all your Christmas gifts so your dog can possibly live a little bit longer." I love working emergency medicine, but it definitely plays hardball with your emotions.
