I got my allergy test done this morning--the ole prick the back way. See here:
Anyway, picture all those tiny red dots as lovely swollen lines. Seriously, they all swelled up so much that it all bled together until my whole damn back was red. Out of 60 pricks I was allergic to.........58! Woohoo! The only things I'm not allergic to from the list are Maple trees and Wool. Here's the results:
A positive allergy ranges from just + to a +4
Trees:
Pecan, Beech, Ash, Walnut, Mulberry, Pine, Sycamore, Poplar, Cottonwood, Oak, Cypress, Privet (?), Hickory--all +1
Willow--+2
Weeds:
Sagebrush, Cockelbur: +4
Pigweed, Ragweed, Lambs Quarters, Marsh Elder, Goldenrod, and Dandelion: all +3
Mexican Tea, English Plantation, Yellow Dock, and Daisy: +2
Clover: +
Grass:
Johnson grass, Fesue grass: +2
Redtop, Bermuda, Rye, Bahia, Timothy, Blue, and Orchard grass: +
Molds:
Alternaria, Aspergillus: +4
Curvularia, Trichophyton: +3
Helminthosporium, Hormodendrum: +2
Penicillium (she said its not the same as the medicine?), Stemphylim: +
Miscellaneous:
Cat: +4
Hospital Dust (there's another kind?), House dust: +2
Dog, Mattress dust, Feathers, Cockroach, Mite, Tobacco, Horse, Paper, Cotton Linters, Kapok (??), Mosquito: +
So, she said (in front of Mike!) that the house needs to be vacuumed more often (especially because of the dog allergy) and I can't do it or even be around for an hour afterwards. SWEET! I always knew I couldn't mow the grass, but hell, now no dusting or vacuuming! So yeah, all this is the reason I can never breathe, hear, or taste anything. So she gave me 3 prescriptions and I start my allergy shots next week. Then in 3 weeks I do the food allergy test.
Tonight SUCKED. This better be the worst day on this detox, otherwise I won't be able to finish it. I've felt horrid for a few hours now. Time for another lemonade. But seriously, if I'm not better tomorrow its over. Maybe I'll try eating healthy and eating less for awhile and then try it again. We'll see. It all depends on how tomorrow goes.
We went and saw Brokeback Mountain FINALLY! I've been looking forward to this movie forever--hell, more than I looked forward to Harry Potter, and I squealed like a girl every time I saw the Potter trailers. OH MY GOD IT WAS SO GOOD. Seriously, I LOVE gay love stories. My favorite thing ever. I don't know why, but hetero love is just boring to me. Gay sex is HOT and gay love is awesome. Heh. Too bad most gay porn is rather....perverted. I mean, c'mon, gay guys can have sex without it being so dirty! Oh well, I still enjoy gay porn though. Hi mom.
The point being, go see Brokeback Mountain. Jake Guyllenhall and Heath Ledger are so adorable together. And DAMN, I didn't expect such a graphic scene so early on. Don't worry, you don't see balls banging ass or anything, but it is surprising what they show in a mainstream movie. I LOVED it.
Wish me good health.
