I had a good Christmas. I love going back to OK.
A man was shot and killed by the police a few blocks up from my house while I was gone. He was a mental patient, threatening them with a knife. I believe they said 12 officers shot him, and they won't release the number of bullet wounds.
Took Jason through part of Lakeview last night. We were walking down a street that we thought was a dead end, but it was just that the house had moved halfway down the block and had settled in the middle of the road. We found some photos and a gun in the trash piles. Yeah, a little handgun, rusted through everywhere. Jason wanted the things for art projects. Trying to decide how to clean the shit so it won't give us any diseases. That water was....ick.
We went and picked up Lando from the vet. I hope I never have to board her that long again. She wouldn't look at me the whole car ride home and didn't want anyone to pet her. But as soon as she saw our house she forgave us and got excited. She's lost weight, which isn't so good because we keep her at about her perfect weight. My poor baby.
I will most likely be putting in my 2 weeks notice today or Monday. My boss informed us that we have to start working weekends beginning next week. That was sweet of her, considering she knows we both have second jobs on the weekend that would require 2 weeks notice to quit. Bitch. Plus the fact that we get no extra pay and that would be 100 more miles on my car and one more damn time I have to fill my tank a week. No thanks, I'd rather get the $10.75/hr working at Target for a while until I can find another job in my field. So, in go the applications to Oschner and the like.
