(super edgy, oops lol) I grew up listening to Green Day - they were my first favorite band and Billie Joe was my first celebrity crush! Needless to say I know sooooo much about the band and their music. BJ was who got me into the whole punk scene and whatnot, especially because of the way he looked and wrote music back in the Insomniac, Nimrod, and Dookie eras. Then Green Day's music developed and became American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown and their songs got a little more serious - I still loved it and BJ's lyrics definitely got me through a lot of really shitty times.
Whenever I'm in a nostalgic mood you can definitely catch me listening to old Green Day, thanks Billie Joe <3
