Is it supposed to suck to be a "good" person?

Are we supposed to be afflicted with low self esteem and coping skills?

Are we supposed to be lonely and put down to the point where we shut down and shut out those that may be worth opening up to? Are we supposed to be ignorant of those that may like us because we cant pick up on it?

I'm afraid of rejection. So much to the point that I cannot meet new people. Yes I'm predominantly talking about girls but generally as well. I can't really get on good terms with anyone. Co-workers, mentors, anyone.

I just want to meet that someone. You know who I mean journal. Someone that I can love and someone that can love me back. Intense, passionate, forever. Someone I can learn about and be excited with and bored with. Someone I can't wait to get home so I can figure out what to do tonight. Hell I'm not even sure I'm talking about a lover or a friend. What is a lover anyway?
