Apparently my husband just ran into Mark McKinney at the grocery store. 
I watched TV at the hotel a couple of nights ago. It's kind of a big deal, because we don't have cable at home, so I never get to just veg out in front of the TV flipping channels and seeing what's on. Don't get me wrong - we did this voluntarily and have been living without cable for at least four years now. I don't miss it, usually. It does mean that I'm completely out of touch with a lot of shows and commercials, and you'd be surprised at how often someone will refer to a commercial in day-to-day conversation.
The point of all this is that I caught an episode of Stargate: SG-1 from last year, and since it's been so long since I've seen an episode, I was completely lost. I knew that Ben Bowder and Claudia Black had joined the cast, but Morena Baccarin, too? (Hotness.) She was playing Claudia Black's daughter, which was confusing, as the actresses are only a few years apart in age. And then why is Colonel Carter (holy promotions, Batman) not in charge of the SG team? Totally rude. They were talking about aliens I'd never heard of, and Morena Baccarin's character had crazy telekinetic powers, and I was just lost. I still think the guy who plays the Goa'uld Baal looks a helluva lot like one of the Backstreet Boys.
I didn't go to work today. I woke up in too much pain, though I did get dressed and made an attempt at getting out the door. I guess it was a really good idea to move up my leave date by a week!
