I have a glass of white wine that my parents left behind from their visit (the bottle, not the glass) and a 3-pack of Lindor dark+mint chocolates. I've just had a roast beef sandwich (for dinner, yes) and I was at karaoke all day. Life is good.
Christmas was fun. My daughter was completely overstimulated by all the gifts, but thank goodness most people followed our request for clothes and not more toys! She got some really nice stuff, too, which was a very pleasant surprise considering my mother-in-law's taste (which diverges significantly from my own in vital areas). She did get me this really cute pair of skull and crossbone earrings, an old Egyptology book (Great Sculpture of Ancient Egypt by Kazimierz Michalowski) and an Egyptian art-deco era tea tray. Not too shabby at all! Also gifted to me were a bunch of DVDs, such as Angel (season 5), Powerpuff Girls (season 1) and the Serenity collector's edition. Between the three of us, we have a stack of DVDs about a foot high.
Karaoke was also a doll meet-up. As in, I met up with a bunch of other doll hobbyists and hung out with our dolls. (My doll, for those who care.) I picked up a new wig for her as well as a pair of really awesome boots, and now she really looks like a rock star! So happy. I'm going to try adding some dark purple to the wig as it's real mohair, but I'm going to do a bit of research first so I don't ruin it. Sooo sooooft. I'm also debating whether to spend my Christmas money on another doll. This one specifically. So cute!
Wow, that wine's kicking in. The chocolate is really good, too. Mmm, mint.
