Apparently I'm updating monthly!
It's been snowing here like crazy. We had a tough time with the stroller last night when we got back from my husband's cousin's wedding and had to walk from the bus stop to our apartment. Navigating the sidewalks in this weather is just plain dangerous. Well, looks like the little one is going to be walking more often! We're keen on having her walking places as much as possible, anyway. Nothing irritates us more, as parents, than seeing a five year old squeezed into a stroller with a pacifier in his mouth. This weather really gets me into the Christmas* spirit, though! It's all decorations, baking, and generosity for the next month, I tell ya.
A co-worker loaned me Death on the Nile, which I'm really looking forward to watching. I loved watching Poirot with my mum ... must be twenty years ago, now. Hoshit. And of course I love anything set in Egypt, especially between 1880-1930. I just re-watched The Mummy with Brendan Fraser, too.
Ever since Blizzard rolled out the last patch for World of Warcraft, I've been levelling without even trying. I had taken a two year break at level 48 and got to level 50 before the patch when I started playing again, in a couple of months. Now I can't even remember what level I am because I'm dinging every other day! (I think I'm 53, now.) Looks like I'll hit 60 by the end of this year. Which is crazy, considering how long it took me to get to 50!
At my previous job I had a little peddling thing under my desk so I could exercise while I work. I think I need to bring it in to my new office. I'm so glad I don't have a scale at home these days. I blame switching from 1% milk to whole milk (3.25%), as well as the complete lack of exercise in my life. It's stupid that stress makes me want to exercise less, but exercise relieves stress. My office offers yoga on Tuesdays at lunch, so I'm going to take advantage of that. It's a start, right? I miss karate.
All of my shopping to do, and my credit cards are already maxed out.
* I use the term "Christmas" even though I am not, nor have I ever been Christian. It's less geeky than saying the Feast of the Winter Veil, and just represents a time of togetherness and a celebration of family. So nya.
