Home alone for the first time in ... I don't know how long. I really can't remember the last time I had the bed to myself. The husband and baby are visiting her grandparents for her first birthday, so are gone for two whole days. I start full time work tomorrow (huzzah!) so I couldn't go. She's already received birthday presents from one grandmother, is having a party on the 17th, and getting more presents the following weekend, so it's not like I feel that I'm missing out or anything. It's kind of nice to be completely alone with the cats.
Can someone pick me up some milk, please? I'm all out and I don't want to walk to the store. I need it for tea, so you see it's quite important.
We moved some boxes to the new apartment yesterday, taking advantage of my mother-in-law's car during her visit. I'm less than enthusiastic about the new place, but I'm sure I'll feel better once the move is over. At least we've got the keys now, so can move some things over and make the Big Move easier on everyone.
You busy on the 18th? I've got beer and pizza, maybe some other goodies, if you'd like to help us move!
So lots happening in my world these days, with less and less internet time. I don't look at sets anymore, I barely read my groups, and I haven't read any journals in ages. This isn't an apology, as I know each of you goes through busy periods, and it isn't a complaint. It's just amazing how much can change in a year, isn't it? Already I know that this year will bring about many more changes. Several of my local friends which I met on this site will be moving far away, and I'm sad that I haven't spent more time with them in person. I'm just as broke as ever, and yet the universe is taking care of me, sending me government money just in time for first and last months' rent.
Read your journal entry from a year ago. Can you even identify with that person anymore?
I think I'll pick up a really big box of chocolates on Thursday.
If you're near Yonge and Finch on Friday around noonish, would you like to go for sushi? I've decided that Fridays will be my treat-myself-to-sushi-for-lunch days.
Got a heating pad on my back and a cat on my lap. If only I had a cup of hot chocolate ... damn milk!

We're in some of the same groups; you seem cool.
