My aunt took me to see Umoja on Friday night and it was great! It goes through the history of music in South Africa from pre-Colonial times to the present (ish). Very high-energy, beautiful music and a really good time. The tickets are really cheap, so I highly reccomend you go, while they're still in town! And now to sound like a complete perv: damn those dancers were shaped nicely!!
My mum's in town this weekend because I'm being sworn in tomorrow as a British citizen. I was at her swearing-in ceremony twenty years ago when she became a Canadian citizen, so it's becoming a family tradition. I'm looking forward to zipping through customs when we travel in Europe.
We all went out for brunch, then mum and I went shopping. We picked up some cupcakes and I got Grimm's Grimmest for cheap! I love remaindered books. They had the entire Series of Unfortunate Events for half price, too.
Leftover roast beef for dinner, tonight. Mmm roast beef.
