The Muppet Christmas Carol (Kermit 50th anniversary edition) - Best version of A Christmas Carol
ever! Hooray for Michael Caine!
on Flux (complete animated collection) x2, because my brother-in-law must have forgotten what my husband said he should get, so I got it from both of them.
The Book of Tea by Kakuzo Okakura. There's an illustration of the author in the front and he's smoking a cigarette. This book was written about a hundred years ago, and the illustration is in the style of traditional Japanese painting, so a cigarrete looks quite out of place. The book is public domain, but it's much nicer to have a copy in my hands from which to read.
Mixed Beasts, illustrated by Wallace Edwards, with verses by Kenyon Cox. Apparently Mr. Cox wrote and illustrated the original Mixed Beasts, so now I have a quest to find that one, too.
Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You, the "centrepiece" in the
Spiderwick collection by
Tony DiTerlizzi and
Holly Black. SO HAPPY.
Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book: 10 3/4 Anniversary Edition! And the 2006 Pressed Fairy Calendar! SO HAPPY! I've already put the window cling next to the one from the first version on the bathroom mirror. The book also comes with a DVD! Going to watch it shortly.
