So, it's been a busy two weeks for me. I visited friends who work for the circus and it was just like coming home for a week where lots of people miss you and there's lots of people to meet who you've never met. I had a great week in Indiana, PA with all of them and I got to spend some time bowling and drinking, which was great. I really miss a lot of those people. I really wish I got to spend more time with Corgan, but a lunch spot after her hair appointment where she got some bangs was good for now.
I also got to try this awesome deli that served me the following sandwich:
I returned home to Boulder, CO for most of the next week and rediscovered a friend who lives close and we will be spending more time hanging out when we're both in Colorado again. I will also get to visit another friend who works for the circus who is home in CO healing up from some surgery when I return in July. We went for lunch at an amazing restaurant where I got a big bowl of PHO, which was fantastic!! I took a tour of the Coors Brewery facility and learned that some of the beers that I enjoy are from their product lines.
After sorting through not enough stuff in Colorado, I took off to San Francisco.
Flying over the Rocky Mountains with very little cloud cover was amazing! Upon arrival, I pulled my bags on the train and across several city blocks to arrive at my hotel. I enjoyed the room and the location very much of the Opal Hotel on Van Ness Avenue.
I had the above lamb shank from a long stand San Francisco place called Tommy's Joynt. It's a bar with a hot food line much like a deli and they have some amazing meals as well as some great beers on tap and in the bottle.
I also paid a barber to give me a nice close shave with a straight razor. Unfortunately, I realized after I left and got back to the hotel that I needed to touch it up, which upset me.
Riding on vehicles which ride on top of rails always put a smile on my face, so I had to make sure and visit a San Francisco landmark before going to a wedding where I sported the following outfit.
And on the following day they held an outdoor picnic/ pot luck reception where some of the attendees decided to start juggling, which is how some of them earn their livings wages.
I am now back to work and in Hamilton, ON, but I have a day off tomorrow and will be making a trip to Toronto, ON to see how the suggestions of friends turns out. I have faith that it will be a great day!! I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to see some fun blogs coming from everyone as the summer happens.
