After an up and down, yet busy day at work, I walked outside at about 5pm and was greeted with beautiful weather outside. Thunder like two huge boulders rolling against each other overhead, a true peal of sound. I love real peals of thunder, that just roll and toss and turn and crash all around overhead.
The temperature is perfect as well, not too cold, but not too muggy and warm either, just a very nice feeling in the rain. So I walk to my car, get in, drive a bit, and decide to put in my "anger" cd. Nothing like hearing the energy of Godsmack, NIN, Sevendust, and others as shards of lightning flash clear as anything overhead and in the distance ahead...it's been a long time since I heard that sort of music coupled with the energy and dynamism of a rather powerful storm.
(And as such, we enter the third evening in a row where we're under a blanket tornado warning..i.e. tornados forming and/or sighted all over the place, plus a storm "with a history of tornadoes" basically sitting still in central iowa...)
