Song for the weekend: You're Pretty - Little Too Long (right-click, save as)
Band is out of Wisconsin, or rather was, as they broke up a while back. I saw them in Ames, IA when they opened for another band...awesome show.

I dunno, I've never really liked Winamp's playlist editor...it's slow for me, and I like to just have a dozen or more playlists that I just "refresh" with my new songs now and then...all shuffled away into folders when I get to looking at my download folder.
So I finally went out and found the above, a playlist editor that allows me to right-click a playlist file and open it in the program, drag them in, drag songs in, drag directories in, easily save, and many other things. It definitely helped after I checked the Preferences and changed something like the ugly green background I had by default.
Only drawback is that I had to convert all my playlists from .pls to .m3u, but that's ok as .pls is the outdated one anyway I believe.
In other mp3 tools, I also hate the clapping/dialogue before/after some songs...or sometimes I just can't find a non-glitch song where it skips just once at 4:23 or something. For trimming, cropping, and small deletions of data (deleting a glitch is sometimes unnoticable in the end) I edit my mp3's with GoldWave. Nice stuff for a non-expert like me.
GoldWave (may as well be free, but I think I have a cracked version)

Nah, haven't read the book. I read the Ethereal docs and that's all I needed to know, since I already know the TCP/IP stack pretty well. I still prefer tcpdump, though.. I'm a straight-up command-line kind of girl.

The fight goes on. Transferring everything to new servers running a newer version of the OS is a massive pain in the ass.
