Student column on Tillman
Student Rant
A ballsy OpEd piece, fucked up by lousy and immature writing. Rather than making such unfounded claims of Tillman being a "Rambo," the author would have been much better served by attacking the way the media and common people have hailed this man a hero, even posthumorously promoting him, while hundreds of his other comrades in arms get little to no attention, acclaim, or similar treatment. Honoring someone just because they happened to be more famous, is just sickening.
In other sickening news, a girl at work that I had been flirting quite heavily with is no longer with the company as of today. This saddens me, because she had the best and brightest and nicest personality ever. To boot, she was a kinky girl too... Oh well, life goes on (and I have her number), but maybe this is a good thing. I already have a small "history" at work, especially with our HR woman (she constantly talks badly about me to my boss, who sees through most of it anyway)...ack I'm digressing!
As I was saying, it might be for the better. This girl has more friends in jail than out (seemingly), and her husband beat her and is in jail for a long time now due to other issues with drugs. She's a great girl, but she also has two kids. Now, I have nothing against kids, but it takes a pretty special girl to attract my attention when she has kids...and that has happened before. Couple that with her baggage and issues...and it might be a good thing to let this fish (again, horny and kinky fish) go... Hell, I'd get into less trouble at work on that front. (She started it, not me!)
Ahh well....it's not like I thought she was someone I wanted to be serious with, but damn it would be nice to be her friend-with-benefits...
In other news, yet again HR has hired someone and given me 1.5 business days to find some sort of PC to set up for them. Great.
