It's the oddities in each of us that make us interesting and who we are....not the comformities or the feelings that we share with the majority. In the latter case, we just end up being no different than the common...
...take for instance the complete feeling of satisfaction and bliss and peace that I feel when listening to Yanni (granted, not all his stuff I like, but the stuff I have picked out and have on mp3). I love Yanni's music, even as the majority of music fans ridiculed it as new agey and...bleh. Course, the rest of Yanni's "genre" can go to hell...I just happen to like his stuff.
Kinda like some older music I have, if I want to settle down or whatever, I listen to Yanni and Pachelbel (and no, I never have and never will associate Canon in D minor with weddings...I first consciously heard it while playing Utopia for SNES and loving it...).
