Sitting like a mindless clone,
Wishing he would tap my phone;
Just to hear the breath of,
The man, the myth, the monotone...
David Duchovny I want you to love me, To kiss and to hug me,
Debrief and debug me,
Bree Sharp, David Duchovny
Went home today for tax reasons, and I get a modest little bit back from both state and federal, a nice little bonus. I also ended up fixing a computer my parents gave to my grandmother. The more I work with computers in my personal and professional lives, the less I want to help people with their issues. Not only is it time-consuming and usually unchallenging, but I just get sick of it sometimes. Friends I'll look after, but only up to losing their data...I hated that in college, someone asking me to fix something, but me knowing I could easily fuck it up worse or not be able to fix it...and I'd feel bad.
Anyway, invariably my mom always gets me something and this time she had this inexpensive 100-piece tool-set for me to take home. Talk about really cool for the money! The plastic case sucks as everything is so tightly wedged into their places, but I think I can get something else to house it all. Now I just need my lockpicks and some additional little things and my own personal (non-work) toolkit will be complete (I think...I'm such a geek).
Oh, and David Duchovny is one of the sexiest men to grace television at all in the last 15 years. I think he's downright awesome, and if I were younger, I'd call him a childhood hero or mine (sadly, I wasn't really in my childhood those years...). Smart, sexy, cool, geeky, sweet...and that song quoted above is just brilliant.
