I see the profiles have changed a bit...hopefully they get updated again soon...as I have just a few quibbles/comments...
1) I like the Friends links on the right, because now that they're on the top, it's like saying "this is the important part of the page," but it certainly is not the most important...the Journal is. I feel for anyone with 50 Friends whose Journal is now a screen-scroll away. Take Shalome for instance....poor dear.
2) I lost Friends links to people that just haven't added me in return. I use Friends links more to link me to journals I want to read, as opposed to some resume of Friends I've made on SG. I have 5 "Pending" requests, and it's inconvenient now to view those journals. The "Deny" feature may be handy for people who are being harassed or something, but I think the default should be to add them as a Friend until denied.
3) Lastly, I can't see who has me as a Friend.
I guess I can infer that everyone in my list mutually has me in their list, and those that are awaiting my approval are the rest...but...I liked that functionality on the Journal page with a non-reloading link to "My Friends." This pretty much meant I only had to ever click on "Edit Prefs" to add a new journal post. And I like knowing who has added me, and letting other people know I have added them.
Ahh well, I hope it goes back to the old layout, at least, as I don't like a bulky Friends list on top of the more important Journal.
Edit- I do love the "Friends Stuff" link. That is extremely nice and useful for browsing recent Friend posts.
However, I can see that the "main menu" of "Groups," "Pics," "Journal..." is now no longer at the top. Really kind of breaks the flow of navigation, but I bet that gets fixed up. 
Another point for being able to have 5 favorite suicide girls...that's awesome, and having their pics at the top is much cleaner than on the right bar as previous. If there's anything more important than a user's journal, it's the reason they are here: the SGs.
