tokyo is for rock n rollers.
hello everyone!
i love tokyo!
the first night i was here, i went to go get some dinner. i went to a small restaurant and sat down at the bar. the woman behind the counter pointed to a machine in the corner. the machine had several buttons with meal descriptions, you would put your money in, push a button, then give the ticket to the cook. too bad the buttons were all in kanji! so i randomly guessed...luckily i ended up with a simple noodle soup and not a plate of crab brains (yes, they do eat crab brains here)...
yesterday i went to the senso-ji temple...then last night i met up with nAohiro12xu and his friend, asami. nao and asami rock! we went to a sushi bar with a conveyor belt of sushi, then to a bar called 'rock in rolling stones,' where the DJ played the clash, sonic youth, the damned, and of course, the rolling stones. nao's friend, asami, was adorable! i tried to talk her into becoming an SG but i think i embarassed her! plus, she's lesbian, so that's pretty hot. ha ha
lots of people have wnted to take my photograph...guess there's not a lot of tattooed, pierced, tall redheads in japan
today i went to a shinto shrine (i forget the name) and happened to run into a traditional shinto wedding--how beautiful! i wish i could download photos but this computer has instructions only in japanese, and i can't read kanji.
i met up with the tour group today and they are all fucking old. boo. i wish i could just do it all alone, but it is much more expensive that way.
you know, i have really enjoyed the last few days alone in tokyo. i have successfully navigated the train and subway system and met lots of japanese friends. i think i can handle anything in the whole fucking world.
okay. a japanese man is impatiently waiting to use this computer so i must go.
i'll update ASAP.
love.luz.

I badly want to visit Japan (and many other places overseas)!
