Back in the day:



i'm the one in white.

at the time of writing and producing this show, i was also a nanny. i made this flyer while three children, aged 2 to 6, played at the playground. i smoked a cigarette and made this flyer on top of the picnic table while the "other mothers" talked to each other on the other side of the playground.

i was the only smoking mother.

i was also the only non-mother mother.

that was...two years ago?

and god, a lot of of other really cool people. i just realized half way throught the listing that i didn't want to list. takes too long.

even longer than it took to write that last little paragraph.


i went to a conference in little rock, arKANSAS this weekend. in my hotel there was a maid. her name tag said "Luz." i told her that was my nickname and she said, "No hablo ingles."

and please, just so you know: it's pronounced LOOZ. and it does not rhyme with buzz. get it?
