you know, really, really,
i really was going to show you guys a picture of my boobs to celebrate the end of the semester...
but it just seemed like homework! the transferring, the resizing, the uploading. so what do i do instead?
smoke cigarettes and sit at my computer.
hm. strangely like doing homework...
i'm going back home to RVA in a little over a week! any of you guys live nearby?? i can't wait to see all of my friends and get drunk at bars where i know people.
i keep debating over whether i should change my profile picture.
well guys, this is a rambler, all right, so here's a story:
always my mother has given me expensive rings, even when i was a child. one christmas when i was eight she gave me a sapphire and diamond ring. two days after christmas i was at the park across the street with my cousin and some pals. i looked down and saw a sapphire was missing from the ring.
my mother, she is the type to get mad at you even if it's not your fault.
so i panicked.
i busted into a run toward my house. i heard my cousin behind me yell "No."
The next thing i remember is my brother jason. he didn't have a shirt on and of course it was cold out there. he was crying above me, part of a circle of people crying above me. i was strapped to a wooden board on the asphalt. an old man came walking up with my shoe. he said he found it up the road and he seemed confused in that charming, old man sort of way.
The girls who hit me were both nineteen--i found that out later. they sent me a postcard from some place and i don't remember what it said but i guess it was something like, "sorry for running you over with that car."
nothing broke. only scabs. and a bad concussion that meant i had to stay awake for 48 hours or i would go into a coma.
i have kept diaries all my life. i have a diary entry from around that time that says, "last frieday i got hit by a car. it was a very bad thing to happen to me. i had to go to the hospitle and everybody was crying, even jason."
after that, my hair grew in grey.
ha. true story.
love luz.

I had a cousin who had a very very similar thing happen to her as a child. That was a good story, your journal entry at the end was the cutest thing I've read in a long time.
You're adorable, lady.
