He has a lot of interesting things to say.
"When you post a blog it can say "for anyone" or "for members" etc. This post should be marked "for myself"
What do you fear? How does fear shape your life?
Ever since my early teens I have had a "fuck fear" philosophy.
Do you fear being in front of crowds?
Then do a play.
Fear asking out the popular girl?
Ask her out right now.
Fear living alone for the first time?
Move to a strange city and spend a month without talking to anyone.
I am not saying I live without fear. I am saying I don't make it a fucking condo in my life and mow it's lawn.
Fuck fear.
And while you are at it, fuck regret, too. Learn from your mistakes and say you are sorry when you really mean it but fuck regret. We all do stupid things. Somtimes we do things that hurt people. Some mistakes can be deeply damaging to ourselves and other people we care about. Look at it, admit it and don't do it again.
Now, if you are going the full course. To really lean into the punch you also have to tell the people who you love that you love them. Tell them. Look them in the eye. Speak clearly. Not just your best friend or your Mother (if you are lucky enough to really love either one of your parents) but you need to tell those people who may not be ready to hear it. That person who sits two cubes down from you at work who makes your day by telling you about her frantic dating escapades. The doctor who actually stopped and took the time to LISTEN.
That is my definition of a tough guy.
I don't fear death when I know that the people I love KNOW I love them. I don't have anything I need to run around and do on my last day on the planet. I can go to the Zoo.
For bonus points you can ignore - completely pay no thought at all to - people who are mean to you. Let it go. This one I have a diffcult time with. Like a hurdle that is way too high I just run up to it and stop.
What do you fear? How does fear shape your life?
What do you regret?
Can you stop?"

I haven't formulated a response though. I know this post is supposed to make you look inside your self and figure out what is holding you back personally from living your life. I know EVERYONE has some kind of fear like that, but nothing comes to mind right now. I guess I have to do some digging...
