we were at the edge of the world.
the sky was grey.
only a sandbar left.
playing & splashing & screaming in the waves, but not going to far out, not wanting to be completely swept away.
we knew the world was at it's end, at least the world as we know it.
but there was no sadness, no regret.
just laughing & splashing...the boat was close and that was safe.
with only a sliver of sand left, we jumped on board and watched the world disappear.
i was bummed when i woke up this morning, i wanted to see what would happen next....

These days I have nightmares about not remembering to feed and look after parrots. So many little birds have dies in my dreams due to my own ineptitude. I'm starting to miss the end of the world.
